The Turanian Smooth Feathers are 45 mm long and have a diameter of 8.5 mm.

Turanicum wheat is an ancient subspecies of durum wheat, selected by humans over 4,000 years ago in the Khorasan region (northeastern Iran). The exact classification is Triticum turgidum subspecies turanicum , commonly known as T. turanicum . Cultivation of this variety spread throughout the Mediterranean basin and even into Italy, but was abandoned in modern times due to its low yield.
Since 2014, we have developed specific methodologies and pasta-making tools to best exploit the richness of these grains, reevaluated and recultivated in collaboration with Prometeo and Oriana Porfiri, an agronomist and cereal expert. We use circular bronze dies and dry the Turanian Penne Lisce at a minimum temperature of 36°C and a maximum of 55 °C for 22 hours. The resulting pasta, blended with water, has an earthy color and a distinct wheat aroma. Qualitative studies have revealed a very interesting aspect regarding the peculiarities of gluten , which is not very tenacious and easily digestible.
